By accessing or using Oweo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our application.

Description of Service

Oweo is a client application for accessing Mastodon and other Fediverse platforms. We provide an interface to connect to decentralized social networks but do not host or control the content or infrastructure of these networks.

User Responsibilities

When using Oweo, you agree to:

• Comply with the rules and policies of your chosen Mastodon instance
• Not use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not harass, abuse, or harm others through the platform
• Not post spam, malware, or deceptive content
• Respect intellectual property rights of others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the app's security

Acceptable Use Policy

You may not use Oweo to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the app or Mastodon instances
• Collect user data without consent
• Distribute malicious software or content

Content and Moderation

Content you access through Oweo is hosted on independent Mastodon instances. Each instance has its own moderation policies and community guidelines. Oweo is not responsible for content moderation, as we do not host or control the content on these platforms.

Intellectual Property

The Oweo application, including its design, branding, and code, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain Oweo's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss resulting from service interruptions.

Third-Party Services

Oweo connects to third-party Mastodon instances and services. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these external services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Oweo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or secure
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for content or actions on Mastodon instances
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (if any)

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Oweo at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms. You may also terminate your use by deleting the app and revoking access tokens.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Your continued use after modifications indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
